ASL Piranha PCD with Triangle Segments Description PCD with Bar tooling has two offset 3/8” wide PCD diamonds with an angled Metal Bar. The Polycrystalline Diamonds (PCD) are very heat and fracture resistant, making them a great coating removal tool. Uses PCD with Bar tooling is designed with  bar to prevent the deeper scratching and gouging while still aggressively removing the coatings. It is generally the PCD of choice during prep for a final polished floor or stained and sealed floor. Polycrystalline Diamond PCD PCD coating PCD (Poly – Crystalline – Diamond) is, unlike single crystalline diamond, produced synthetically by sintering together many (Poly) diamond particles, usually in the size of 2 to 30 microns of a meter, with a metal binder (usually Cobalt) at high temperature and high pressure. The rate is 90-95% diamond particles and the rest is Cobalt. Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) is diamond grit that has been fused together under high-pressure, high-temperature conditions in the presence of a catalytic metal. The extreme hardness, wear resistance, and thermal conductivity of diamond make it an ideal material for the cutting tools manufacturing.
