amir patwadry is better IF YOU HAVE good vacuum to collect the dust!!! with wet what do you do with all the wet slurry!!! where do you dump wet slurry?

Mardianita BerrouetUsing the two methods are a great concept, depending on which type of diamonds you are using. I say this because if you're using them dry, of course you get an even grind and polish and your diamonds for your metals and resins don't run down as quickly. However, when you're running a certain type of resin that can run wet, that slurry that you create, helps you to receive the same effect of grinding as you would if it were dry. Removal would be simple if you have a floor scrubber, and that would take literally seconds to remove off the floor. Disposal would also be easy, if you dump the contents into either a bag or dumpster that is for eco-friendly waste. Either way, it all depends on the methods that you choose when you initially start to grind.

Mike BoeddekerSometimes we need to wet grind to keep diamonds open to make a aggressive 1st cut. It also helps cut down on the silica dust we all breathe now and again. The slurry mess becomes the problem. Its considered hazardous waste we cant just dump it outside. We have too haul it off and dispose of it correctly. This is costly! We have been using this product that is a super absorber. we apply it on our slurry and mix it up a bit and in about 10 minutes it is neutral PH and turned to a dry clumpy material that can be bagged and put in the trash on site. Pretty amazing product. We make a few passes on floor, then a guy or two start squeegeeing the slurry in to a couple piles. The grinder continues moving forward to keep production going. One guy can easily manage slurry with this product. After he has the slurry dried up we take the top off the preseparator and shovel the nonhazardous material into the longo bag and put in trash. Easy and quick!
