stones are durable and will last a life time. Once stone is in place, it can not be
damaged. Even many home owners, architects and interior designers embrace the thought
that , it’s a rock! What can happen to it? However ,the reality is a wide range of
things that can occur to your stones . The lost of shine, etching , efflorescence,
improper installation , cracking ,etc are common stone problems.
Stone by nature of porosity is susceptible due to neglect,improper cleaning methods
or the use of unsuitable chemicals not formulated for use on stone, water ,spills
and grime will lead to the staining of marble,granite and other stone surfaces
causing rusting, yellowing and water spots. All these problems will eventually
shorten the stone's life and make it become a liability headache.
