Do’s
1. Blot up spills immediately with absorbent towels.
2. Dust mop or sweep with a soft non-treated dust mop frequently to minimize dirt and stains accumulated.
3. Damp mop regularly using neutral pH detergent or cleaners designed for stone.
4. Use doormats and walk-off mats placed at entrance to eliminate sand and soil from entering. The
longer the length will allow people more space to wipe or scrap their shoes on
the mat.
5. Vacuum doormats and walk-off mats regularly.
6. Use cotton mats placed in kitchen.
7. Use coaster under glasses, especially if they contain alcohol or citrus juices.
Don’ts
1. Use the same mop on any other surface such as kitchen, bath, toilet, or lobby,
etc.
2. Place hot items directly on stone surface.
3. Use furniture polishes on stone surface.
4. Use bleach, ammonia, vinegar or other general all purpose cleaners.
5. Use cleaners that contain strong acid or alkaline
6. Use powder cleaners, disinfectants and mildew removers.
7. Use abrasive nylon scrub pad which will cause scratching.
8. Try to mix chemicals together, unless as instructed and with direction
from professional
stone care supplies.
